Team Whitney was the "Original Group" of the league. Whitney Houston formed the alliance to help her win her raging feud with Lauryn Hill. Angela Bassett was a co-star of Whitney's in Waiting To Exhale. Brandy has always claimed Whitney as her role model and idol, and co-stared in the Cinderella remake. It was a natural teaming. Lauryn Hill constantly defeating and humiliating the team ultimately lead to them disbanning.
