. Union appeared in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
—"Sons and Daughters" as the Klingon N'Garen. Her breakthrough role was in the 2000 teen film Bring It On

Union has a bachelor's degree in sociology from UCLA. Union married NFL player Chris Howard and divorced in 2006. In 2008, Union began dating NBA player Dwyane Wade. They married on 2014.
