Paris Whitney Hilton is an American singer, actress, and fashion model. She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, and to the real estate fortune of her father, Richard Hilton. She is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels. Born in New York City and raised there and in Beverly Hills, California, Hilton began modeling as a child, appearing first in charity events. She has appeared in numerous advertisements, including Iceberg, GUESS, Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Dior, and Marciano.
Hilton and Nicole Richie (adopted daughter of Lionel Richie) starred in the 2003 FOX hit reality series The Simple Life, in which they lived with a family on their farm in rural Altus, Arkansas. Hilton has appeared in minor and supporting roles in the feature films
House of Wax (2005),
The Hillz (2004),
Raising Helen (2004), and
Nine Lives (2002). Hilton also starred in
1 Night in Paris (2004), an unauthorized sex video with her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon, for which she received directorial credit. The film earned three AVN Awards in 2005.

Paris debuted at number 6 on the Billboard 200. In 2012, Hilton announced her DJ career and made her debut at the São Paulo Pop Music Festival. Although her performance was criticized, she became one of the highest-paid celebrity DJs, holding club residencies all over the world. That same year, she also returned to music, signing a record deal with Cash Money Records.
